PRINCIPAL COMPONENT PERIODS The period of MBH PC coverage in the Texas-Oklahoma dataset (1700-1980) is very close to the correct available period. MBH calculate the Texas-Mexico PCs earlier than uniform availability without disclosing methodology and for 2 years after availability. Seven of 9 ITRDB North America PCs are calculated before uniform availability and all were calculated for 9 years after uniform availability. On the other hand, MBH commence the calculation of South American and Australian PCs after uniform availability, but continue the calculation for 4 years and 2 years respectively after uniform availability ceases.
